WHAT IS EDI? EDI is a technology that permits the direct
computer-to-computer exchange of data in a standard format, specifically
EDI refers to the electronic transmission of claims information from
Claims Administrators (insurers, self-administered self-insured employers,
and third party administrators) to a State Workers’ Compensation
Agency. Data are transmitted in a format standardized by the IAIABC. Click
